General Surgery: Spays, Neuters and most general Surgery: Prior to surgery a thorough exam will be given, pre- anesthetic blood work will be done to ensure maximum patient safety and fluids will be administered to help maintain normal blood pressure and aid in a quicker recovery. Vital signs are monitored throughout the surgery. Pain management is administered during and after the procedure and also sent home.

xraysRadiographs and Ultrasound on site: Our in-house x-ray machine, automatic processor and ultrasound machine provide us, in a short amount of time, with additional internal information to aid in making a diagnosis.

Dental cleanings/extractions: Ultrasonic dental prophylaxis, dental X-rays, OraVet dental sealant and extractions.

On-site laboratory: Our on-site laboratory allows us to do a wide variety of blood testing in house. We now routinely test for Heartworm, Ehrlichia and Lyme disease with a three in one test. In-house fecal flotations and guidelines established by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) are closely followed on intestinal parasite prevention and treatment. In-house urinalysis and sediments done as well as in-house cytology. We also have the equipment to check for glaucoma and high blood pressure.

On-site Pharmacy:  Our in-house pharmacy allows us not only to prescribe your medications but also fill most prescriptions for you here.

House Calls: At the doctors' discretion housecalls are available for an additional charge.

Preventative Health Care:  Yearly well visit examinations, vaccinations, heartworm checks and fecal exams are important in maintaining healthy pets. We offer wellness profiles (a baseline blood profile) for younger pets and complete Senior Health Profiles for older dogs and cats (over 7 years of age). The Senior Health Profile include exams, radiographs, complete blood profiles (including thyroid testing, complete blood count, electrolytes and chemistry analysis), EKG, blood pressure analysis, eye evaluation and pressure check, followed by a consultation with the doctor to discuss the diagnostic results.

Vaccinations:  We administer all core and non-core vaccinations following the vaccine guidelines set by the Canine and Feline Vaccine Task Force. Canine and feline distemper combo vaccinations, Rabies, Bordetella (kennel cough), and Leptospirosis vaccinations, as well as Feline Leukemia, FIV, Lyme disease, Rattlesnake, and Dental Porphyromonas vaccinations are all offered. You can discuss which vaccinations your pet needs with the doctor during your office visit.

Nutrition counseling: It has been our experience that certain physical problems with our pets stem from the types of foods they eat.

cat condoBoarding - RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: Boarding is offered to cats, dogs, rabbits and pocket pets. Cats stay overnight in a separate air conditioned room in cat condos. We also offer an exercise gazebo for the cats to stretch their legs. Dogs are kept in an air conditioned facility as well and are walked a minimum of three (3) times a day.  Please download, fill out the Boarding form and bring it with you when you bring your pet in.

To protect the health of your pet under our care we require proof of vaccinations and all patients must be clear of internal and external parasites. If vaccinations, fecals or dewormings were done at another veterinarian written proof of these must be provided at the time you drop your pet off or they will have to be done before they can stay in our hospital. Dogs must have proof of Rabies, Distemper-Parvo (DA2PP) combination vaccine, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella vaccinations as well as annual fecal testing and deworming or current heartworm preventative. Cats must have proof of Rabies, FVRCCP, fecal testing and deworming.

Boarders are fed Science Diet cat and dog food. If your pet requires a special diet, please provide this and any needed medications.

Bathing: Each bath comes with a thorough shampooing, nail trim, ear flush and anal gland expression.  Doctor-prescribed medicated shampoo and dips for the treatment of mange are available at an additional cost.  We also offer various topical and oral treatments for fleas in both dogs and cats.
